Individual Therapy Individual therapy is a process through which clients work one-on-one with a trained therapist in a safe, caring, and confidential environment to explore their feelings, beliefs, or behaviors, work through challenging or influential memories, identify aspects of their lives that they would like to change, better understand themselves and others, set personal goals, and work toward desired change. |
Family Therapy
Family therapy involves all members of a nuclear family or stepfamily and, in some cases, members of the extended family. A therapist conducts multiple sessions to help families deal with important issues that may interfere with the functioning of the family and the home environment. The goal of family therapy is to help family members improve communication, solve family problems, understand and handle special family situations and create a better functioning home environment. |
Couples/Marital Counseling
Couple and marital counseling helps couples, married or not, identify problems, manage difficulties, and ultimately improve their relationship. The intensity of an intimate relationship makes it one of the most important relationships one encounters in life. Because couple and marital counseling deals with two people and the dynamics that exist in their relationship, the counseling is more intense and at times more complicated than work with individuals. |
Clinical Research
Casiano Clinical Services can provide technical assistance with creating, implementing, and maintaining clinical trials and consult on research related projects. We can assist with writing and setting up protocols, case reports, and consult on evidence based research projects based on the latest research and neuroscience. |
Professional Development
Professional development is a formal process such as a conference, seminar, workshop and collaborative learning that promotes personal and professional growth. However, professional development can also occur in informal contexts such as discussions among work colleagues, independent reading and research, observations of a colleague’s work, or other learning from a trained professional in that area of clinical or educational work.
